Clarion Suites Roatan at Pineapple Villas

The place is very nice and well care, but our villa has a lot of bugs in the kitchen, terrible. Need a extermination service urgent!

Soon as we entered the room found a dead cockroach, and afterwards killed 3 more cockroach in a two night stay. They need to fumigate the area.

Large comfortable rooms, great pools, super staff.

In some ways I’m sad to write this review because the staff was cool and nice. But my room had multiple roaches, one of which I found in the bed, and one did not get cleaned even after housekeeping came. I also found no less than 8 dead bees. I understand that the property is on an island and bugs happen, but what added to my disappointment is that when I had an unexpected death and had to leave early, they refused to give me a refund for the night I did not stay there. They then claimed they would get back to me, and I never heard back. I don’t think they ever intended to get back to me or be sympathetic for the extenuating circumstances. Very disappointing. Lastly, the claim that access to French Key is free is misleading—you have to pay $20 to go ($15 of which can be used at the restaurant there) but not free.

The transport driver left the airport and didn't pick us up. He had to come back and get us. He was nice, not sure why it happened. Pool in one of the buildings needs plaster maintenance. The main pool is beautiful. Did not have any poolside food/drink service at main pool. Food at Herby's was tasty. Breakfast was average, the service was not great (slow) had to ask several times for items. (It was not that busy)

Condo is large and very comfortable. It is designed for long term stays - has washer/dryer, dishwasher, stainless steel applicance, huge balcony with large table and 6 chairs.

Inside furniture is dated. Bed was not king-sized. Overhead fan in bedroom made noise when working so we couldn't use it during the night. Hotel is not near tourist areas or West Bay. Onsite restaurant is a sports bar/restaurant but food was good.

I only stayed one night so I didn't get to try all the amenities but the food at the restaurant was good and front desk staff were really nice and helpful. Only complaint is the shuttle schedule. I was unaware of it on arrival so if you need to be at the airport at a certain time, you may have to order a taxi. Overall, good place. Plan to revisit.

We only spent one night here but everything about it exceeded our expectations. Staff friendly and courteous. Room was very clean and comfortable. Restaurant was excellent. Price was fair. Highly recommend.

Room was not very comfortable. Sheets would not stay on the bed until we remade it. No table or chair to sit at. Air worked good. Price was a little high for quality. Toilet was too low. Asked for a handicap room and they said there was not one. I would like a complimentary upgrade for my next stay.
