"Clean. Comfortable. Inexpensive. But you get what you pay for."

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was good and there was a car park very close by which cost £8 for 48 hours (winter price - summer price is £14). Staff were friendly. The fried eggs at breakfast were good. Very close to the sea.

We were shown to a room which was not the one we had booked and were told we could have it if we paid £20 cash straight away. This felt very odd - especially since this room was nothing special. The sofa in the room was old and covered with a blanket - it took up the whole of the bay window space. A small table and chairs in that space would have been much better. Definitely not a 'continental breakfast' - it consisted of cereal and cheap individually-wrapped croissants with jam, but as I said the eggs we were offered were good. We chose to have breakfast elsewhere on our second morning.

"Lovely place - brilliant host"

Lovely host, very friendly and welcoming . Clean comfortable room. Great breakfast. Good location, close to everything. Loads of plug sockets and a fantastically powerful shower.

Parking was a bit of a pain but we warned of that so came as no surprise.

Location is excellent right across the road from the sea and a minutes walk from the harbour. Had a lovely room with sea view. Comfortable beds & spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and Ash and his wife couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely return when we are in Exmouth again. Thanks both for a lovely stay.

No parking unfortunately and it was a bit inconvenient to keep moving the car. It was free on seafront between 6pm-9am but parking in surrounding streets was all permit holders only. We did manage to get a spot on the harbour though after a day or two which was very reasonable.
