"Beauty in a Valley"

10.0

A delightful place - tucked away in the valley off the main road. Very easy to reach the busy bustling Buxton with its usual traffic delays! A series of individual buildings but the standard of renovation very high and everywhere spotless clean. My double room for single use under the roof so space to stand up a little restricted. No lift but a flight of stairs - no problems for a normally fit person!! Window at floor level in the room. Nothing unusual from my experience. Bed comfortable & shower very efficient. Room tidied daily. Very quiet and an early morning stoll around the property to see the alpaca & horses - very pleasant. Breakfast menu wide with local produce. Fresh fruit, sliced with yoghurt & plum compote delicious. Main breakfast usual fare but no hash browns or baked beans - hooray. All well presented, good portions d not dripping in fat & oil. It was just the meal to get you underway for the day! I found the proprietor & staff most helpful & obliging. All in all a delightful stay; only wish it could have been longer.

"Unexpected stay"

10.0

After travelling for a day out from Lincoln to buxton we had a nice suprise it was a festival weekend , we decided to stay over and tried to find last minute accommodation with not much luck as it was so busy . We eventually found Rushton hall on hotels.com with one room left we snapped it up , we drove there to find it was in a lovely rural area only a 10 minute drive from the center of things , which was ideal for a quiet stay , lovely room called boots , view from window in our room looked out onto horses and an alpaca, breakfast in the morning was superb, we tried to book in again for the following weekend but it was fully booked 😔 we will definitely be going back .

"Excellent B&B in the beautiful natural habitat but"

10.0

I stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay a lot. it was exactly what i needed. surrounded by green, and the sound nothing but the odd sheep. Alpaca looking at me from the neighbouring field was also a huge highlight. Everything was in great condition and everything was provided for and thought off. breakfast was great quality with great service. My only minor criticism would be that the room i booked which was described as a romantic room was actually a shepherds hut. I didn’t mind as i really wanted to stay in a shepherds hut so i got lucky, but if not i wouldn’t have wanted to stay in it. I also missed a slight personal touch from the b&b owners who were perfectly pleasant, thorough with their management and very professional. But there was very minimal interaction or interest in any conversation or exchange of any small talk which some may perceive as unfriendly. I didn’t mind it though and assumed they were busy.
