Walking distance to the airport

Room is advertised as having air conditioning. There is a thermostat on the wall in the room but when unit wasn’t working, front desk advised the room didn’t not have air conditioning. No offer to change rooms, apologize or offer any kind of partial refund. Booking.com contacted for assistance but hotel did not respond to their emails.
