"Perfect and luxurious location. "

10.0

This hotel is fantastic. It's a 3 minute walk to St Isaacs Cathedral which is also the first stop for the Hop in Hop off Bus. It is situated on a lovely canal in a historical part of town. There are many excellent and well-known restaurants in close proximity, and the one ion site is great too. Concierge is fantastic and extremely helpful in giving directions, making recommendations and organising transfers. Reception: the ladies working on check in were extremely friendly, spoke excellent English and were very efficient. Staff : overall everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Rooms:,the rooms were elegant, extremely clean and our bed was a gigantic king size. It was incredibly comfortable with perfect pillows and linen. There was even a turn down service with chocolate. The bathroom was outstanding!! The floor was heated and this was an unexpected bonus in minus 23,weather! The toiletries are of a high standard and shower had excellent pressure. The bath was oversized and great for relaxing. There is a mini bar in the room, good wardrobe and excellent heating with easily adjustable thermostat. The location is an easy walk to most attractions if you wish to explore on foot. Also easy to walk to the main shopping district. This hotel represented excellent value for money and great comfort during a very cold winter. It was also extremely quiet. I would certainly book this gem again should I visit St Petersberg. Loved being here.

"Brilliant stay in a beautiful hotel"

10.0

The hotel was fantastic. We arrived early and the reception took our bags which allowed us to start sightseeing luggae free. She even looked to see if the room was ready early, but unfirtunately it wasn't. The location is very good. Extremelty close to St. Isaac's cathedral and it is a 5/10 minute walk to Nevsky Prospekt. The conceirge were very helpful in helping me with table reservations. The room was always cleaned and tidyed each morning. The decor was fun and bright and in very good condition. I couldn't have asked for any more.

"Great location/hotel"

10.0

I stayed here for 7 nights in a superior room on the Moika Canal. The views were lovely especially on NYE as there were fireworks right outside my window on the bridge. All stay members I met were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and huge (bigger than my apartment). The bed was very comfortable as well. Bathroom spacious. Breakfast (included in my rate) was sufficient although the hot food was always on the cool side. The bar area was nice and they had fantastic mulled wine. Location was within walking distance to everywhere, in my opinion. My one complaint - in the winter the air conditioning is turned off which makes the room very stuffy. At night I had to open the window to cool the room off so that I could sleep. Also, on my last night I could hear my neighbour's activities - never had an issue any other night. Wifi worked well. Gym was ok - typical hotel gym. Didn't use the spa. Price was fantastic through Expedia.

"Superb Hotel Experience"

10.0

We are very experienced travellers with hotel stays in upwards of 60 countries over a long lifetime. This was undoubtedly one of our very best experiences. Part of it was being located in a superb location in the centre of a beautiful rebuilt metropolis that breathes an air of sophistication and gentleness - a welcome contrast after the hustling edginess of Moscow. The other crucial aspect was a staff that never seemed to be able to do enough for us. Overall, it was better than most of the boutique hotels in Paris 16th arrondissement. For those who like good breakfasts, it was a treat to see a morning buffet (included in our room costs) that was designed with Baltic travellers in mind: it stood comparison with a well-laid smorgasbord table for a lunch or dinner anywhere in Scandinavia or a Nordic cruise (which is saying a lot!). Our room (we upgraded after arrival) proved to be extremely spacious with a view overlooking the Moika River and, as we were on an upper floor, we had a good view of some of the higher building/church domes in the distance. Even for our ten-day stay, some of it spent indoors because of a touch of virus, we never felt cooped up or constrained. Summary: excellent service, fine amenities. Truly the best in a refined, comfortable environment.
