Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof

Arrived at the Hotel and the staff could not be more feiendly and helpful. Absolutely beautiful property with a swiss feel. Room was great , indoor pool with Sauna and showers . Restaurant was amazing and probably our best meal in Switzerland. Perfectly located right at the beginning of all the restaurants and shops in Grindenwald. Walk out the door and two minutes you are in the heart of everything. Walked to Grindenwald First as well. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is located at a convenient place where is walking to train station and street around 2-3 minutes. The foods at hotel are delicious with excellent services. The view is very beautiful. It is only suggested the hotel inside should put more lights or directions to guide the customer.

Grindelwald is as perfect a swiss picture can get. You sit in a hotel with the most incredibile view of mountains and green pastures in front of you which you never get tired of watching and hiking during the day. This was our third visit and every time we explored new areas and villages. This time we chose this nice 5 star hotel in Swiss chalet style. It consists of an original building and a newer expansion in a more modern chalet style separate connected building. Everything of high quality and furnished with good taste in a rather contemporary Swiss way. A small garden in front of the hotel makes a nice place for breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast is very good. Dinner in the restaurant is ok. WIFI works very well. We had a Eiger view suite with balcony and very generous in size. The spa and indoor heated swimming pool is very nice. The hotel is on walking distance from the train station which is very practical. Staff is kind and well trained. My only critic would be they have no AC. Summers are hot and AC in a rated 5 star hotel is a must. Last time we lodged at the nearby other 5 star hotel of the town : the Belvedere, and they have AC.

Oustanding room (suite), location, view, infrastructure and services, staff, food. Impeccable altogether.

It does not come cheap (ex. parking at 25 chf on top of the suite price is exaggerated), but the overall quality is undeniable. Not the end of the world but... the water tenperature in the pool at 29 C is simply too cold.

This hotel has EVERYTHING 😍 LOCATION. Charm Stile and Luxury.
