The Pines Hotel

The view and location. Rozy at the reception was friendly , welcoming and explained very well. Thank you Rozy. The serving staff in the dining room were very nice and did good work. The room was clean.

Big, non smart TV! Water flow in room was pathetic. It was rightfully expensive for an old outdated hotel. Door locks are manual, the room safe on the floor. The bed needs renewal. 480 ponds a night for a hotel with no facilities besides bedroom, lobby and dinning room.

The location of the seafront is so scenic & the hotel is comfortable.

The welcome was disgusting. Jason was very argumentative and difficult. He also talked about me to another member of staff where I could hear him. I spent half the time I spent in the hotel crying from his abusive behaviours. I reported him to the manager who said he would have a word with him.

The hotel bungalow was finished to a high spec throughout and very comfortable. Unexpected complimentary cake,wine and chocolate made the welcome extremely warm. The manager came over immediately when it was necessary to adjust the heating and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly and professional and attended to every detail. The bungalow was spacious, comfortable and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with various teas and coffees. There was more than enough provision by way of fridge and fridge freezer.

There was one cushion on the bed in the double room that was stained, probably with chocolate. I guess it had been overlooked. The kitchen blind was a little difficult to pull down, and in trying to do so, the poppers on the pully came apart. The kettle badly needed de scaling. In the double room also, the dressing table area was difficult to sit at, as there wasn't enough room to get your legs round the stool as it was close to the bed.
