"A real pleasure!"

9.0

Food was very good, and decent value. Gastropub fare, well prepared, good range of options and well priced. The atmosphere was great. A local pub for local people 😉 as well as a welcoming place for those who want to eat and/or stay over.

Nothing comes to mind. I'd highly rate The Bell and would very happily recommend.

The whole place was so nice and all the staff were brilliant

The emergency lighting had a constant green light above the bed which wasn't ideal

"Really dog friendly."

9.0

Really lovely pub,and the cosy double room was well equipped and they were really dog friendly with the best dog pack we have had. The staff in the day was frendly and the lady who took us to our room was very helpful. Dinner was ok if abit pricey for a pub.The place is well worth a visit, just avoid paying for breakfast.

Not there fault but the heat in the room at night was 27c (it was one of the hottest days on record for may) a fan was provided but just blew hot air around, we were concerned about our cockapoo as she was excessively panting and I stayed awake as we had to open the top of the barn door for air. The breakfast was very disappointing.we were the only couple down at 7.30am, the most miserable waiter took our order, we waited 20mins for a full English and pancakes, not a problem as it was being freshly cooked, but when it arrived the full English was served on a cold plate, and the bacon, beans, black pudding, mushroom was cold, only the sausage and fried eggs were warm enough to eat,I left the rest.I can only presume that the chef left it on the side(not under the heated lights)to cook the pancakes as my wife said they were warm. Couldn't tell the waiter we never saw the waiter again. Was going to tell reception but we left at 8.30 so had to leave the key on desk as no box to post it in for security. Shame that the morning was like waking up in a different pub to the pub we were in the day before.
