Ridley House - Key West Historic Inns

Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist gleich am Hafen und an der Duval Street. Schöne Anlage. Das Zimmer war sauber. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück. Kostenlose Parkplätze in der Umgebung vorhanden, man muss sich nur erkundigen.

Die Angestellten vom Housekeeping waren nicht besonders freundlich und wirkten eher demotiviert. Das Zimmer ist leicht renovierungsbedürftig und es roch etwas muffig. Auch der Poolbereich ist nicht sehr einladend und verschmutzt. Der Pool-Lift für beeinträchtige Menschen ist in einem desolaten Zustand. Es waren augenscheinlich viele Zimmer frei, also hätte man ruhig ein Zimmerupgrade geben können (auch aufgrund eines vorhandenen Diamond Status bei Hilton, das war dem Herrn an der Rezeption jedoch gleichgültig weil nicht direkt dort gebucht).

Everything about the property was excellent except for one issue - our bathroom was COVERED in mold because of excess moisture with no ventilation. I was only staying one night so I didn't make a big deal out of it but I would not feel comfortable staying in that room for an extended time due to health risks. It's a historic property so I can understand why it's an issue, but if I were to book at Ridley House again I would request another room.

No storage for suit cases since room did not have dresser. Had a big closet, but nothing to put suitcases on.

This hotel/Inn did not disappoint. After reading many great reviews, we decided on this place. Location, location. Location. We took the ferry from Ft Myers Beach, it’s about a 6 block walk from where we got off the boat. We took a snorkeling trip with Fury, which was a 3 block walk from the hotel. Cecilly was helpful in allowing us to store our luggage while waiting for the room. We were fortunate to get a little earlier checkin. There are multiple options for dining all within a few blocks. Duval is 2 blocks away with many options for dining and lots of stores. The hotel is darling, nestled in dense tropical vegetation. The room was cozy and very clean. I was impressed with the water pressure in the shower. The air conditioning was excellent that’s another bonus you don’t always get in hotels. They have a sangria happy hour near the pool every day that is a nice touch. The pool is perfect for cooling off. There was some debris floating in the pool but with all of the plants around it’s nearly impossible for them to keep it perfectly clean. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast. It’s served in the kitchen from 8-10. Not your typical hotel danish and boxed cereal. It’s freshly cooked eggs, bacon and several options for bagels and the “waffles, OMGOODNESS”. Fresh fruit, and juices. Loved it here! We will be back! ❤️

A great historical building with a perfect location.

We spent Memorial Day weekend, so the price was way too high for such property. Regular weekend prices are more reasonable. Impossible to eat breakfast outside because of mosquitoes. Pool was dirty.
