The Mining Exchange

From minute one until my wife and I left, everything about our experience was absolutely top notch. From the valet, to the manager, to Jill checking us in and giving us great information about local places to eat and visit, to Rin an absolutely rockstar coffee barista and overall hard working gal, to the bartenders who were extremely courteous and delightful to talk to, to Frank who was Mr I'll take care of anything you need and then some. If you want a clean, comfortable, top notch place to stay, this is the place. If I go back to Colorado, I will most definitely be staying here again!!

Beautiful unique hotel in a great location, very walkable downtown setting. All the staff were super attentive, professional, kind, and really seemed to enjoy working there. They must have excellent management!

If you’re looking for a stay in Colorado Springs that blends historic charm with modern luxury, I highly recommend the The Mining Exchange. This gorgeous historic mining exchange building has been beautifully refurbished while still preserving all the character and charm of the original architecture. From the moment you walk in, the décor is stunning. The lobby is one of those spaces you actually want to spend time in, whether you’re relaxing with a cocktail or coffee, playing games, or simply hanging out and soaking in the atmosphere. Our room on the fifth floor was spacious, beautiful, and full of character, with soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls, and huge windows overlooking the city from the front side of the building. The room included a comfortable king bed, lounge chair, desk, refrigerator, big-screen TV, and an enormous bathroom complete with both a large shower and a soaking tub. The fifth-floor snack closet was also a fun bonus for late-night munchies. The staff was friendly, the rooms were spotless, and both check-in and check-out were incredibly easy. The only downside is parking. Since it’s a historic downtown building, there’s no dedicated parking garage onsite. However, there is a public garage just about a block away, along with street parking or valet options, so it’s manageable with a little planning. Overall, absolutely stunning restoration, great atmosphere, and a memorable stay in the heart of Colorado Springs.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Quiet room, comfortable mattress, great shower. Really enjoyed being able to have breakfast and dinner with our dog in the lobby.

Fête dans le lobby, musique forte. La chambre était petite, impossible d ouvrir 2 valises. Le support à valise était bancal. Pas de coffre fort, pas de bouilloire et ou machine à café en chambre. Spa fermé depuis l été passé. Aucune réparation n est prévue. Globalement décevant. Ne vaut pas un 4 étoiles.

Our family just hosted a weekend wedding at the Mining Exchange and The Pinery. We held the Friday night welcome event and Sunday brunch at The mining exchange hotel. (105 guests). We used the patio for Friday night open bar and appetizers and cheese board. We used the Elkin room for brunch. Both locations are bright and unique. The building is special and all of our guests enjoyed the spaces. We had a wonderful time. The staff is absolutely amazing. They treat you like family, so very attentive. We worked with Sara primarily, and she was terrific as we worked on and off for months to get things just right. We worked a little with Frederick and he was great too. Patrick, the valet, carried 100 welcome bags from location to location plus lots of luggage. The other valets were wonderful, helping my 87 year old parents get in and out of cars when family was not present to assist. Lulu was our front desk assistant, so accommodating. We did have some trouble with the AC in the building, but the staff bent over backwards to fix it quickly. They delivered fans and sent maintenance right away. My point is, things happen, but the staff reacts quickly. Don’t hesitate to use The Mining Exchange as your next event space or to just enjoy a fun weekend in Colorado Springs.

Stayed here for work, but it’s my top choice every time I come in town. Gorgeous rooms, very prime location, the coffee bar is incredible and fast in the morning, the bar is trendy and has great drinks. I love the vibe of this hotel, immaculately decorated. In particular, I’m thoroughly obsessed with the room design and dream about the bathroom tiles. The staff is always amazing, Vernon at the front desk was incredibly helpful and was able to upgrade my room for me. Service was quick, I had coffee brought up to my room in the mornings which was also a phenomenal treat. Always very clean as well, the whole hotel and especially my room. It’s becoming increasingly uncommon at a lot of hotels for daily housekeeping through my visits, so having that here was lovely. Wish I could stay here more often!!
