The hotel was very well situated and close to the big city that looks like Switzerland. The room/suite was very clean And spacious. We didn't use the kitchen but it was very nice and if your planning on Staying for more than 1night and enjoy cooking it's a big plus. Very quiet and remote location. The insonorisation was good I guess but then again maybe our neighbors were sexually active before 10 and then slept till the morning So I can't really comment on that. The washroom is very tight and thank the lord me and the wife ain't too big. Me and the wife were a little sexually active and maybe the neighbours will be able to comment more about the insonorisation of the rooms ;) just kidding. As the night went on we realized our king size bed was actually 2 single beds stapled together with a cover over the two. The middle part you would sink in a little but the two beds were still comfy just not the middle part as much. All in all for the money you save staying in the big city this hotel/auberge is worth it and I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful time! We stayed in the romantic suite at La Refuge and loved it. The suite had two floors... bedroom on the bottom floor and living area/kitchen on the top floor. The layout is great and provides a cozy "home-like" feel. The suite's private access was also a plus.

La Refuge is a delightful place to stay. It is luxurious and spacious. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway.

Arrived at the Refuge to find that checkin is 'remote control' - you phone the owner from a provided handset and he talks you through door codes, getting to your room, facilities etc. We had a nice suite and the owners were flexible enough to allow our 19 yr old son to stay on the sofa bed in the living room for a small additional charge. Suite had microwave and fridge, so we were able to have a couple of basic meals in the room. Breakfast was also 'unattended' - i.e. they was a fridge well stocked with items to make your own breakfast - however hot food (bacon, sausages, omelette) were pre-cooked and had to be reheated in the microwave. Not really what I expect from 'Bed and Breakfast'. Location was convenient for the Resort (about 5 minute drive, 20 minute walk) and the Village which was a little further in the other direction. The Refuge itself is rather overshadowed by trees so not very sunny.

We had a great weekend getaway at this B&B. We were well looked after. The owner has a great attention to detail.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Refuge. We arrived late in the evening after reception had closed and Robert was very accommodating and made us feel at home even by phone. The decor was lovely and our room and bathroom were very clean. The B&B was quiet even when all the rooms were occupied by guests. The serve yourself breakfast had a lot of variety and was generous. We will definitely come again in the summer when the driveway is easier to climb without the snow!

We had a great stay and enjoyed it so much. The kitchen is very organized and the breakfast is very good. We would highly recommend it.
