Churchill Guest House

This charming little guest house is within easily walkable distance to Dover Castle and downtown. The host was readily available and extremely helpful. This small facility felt very homelike and represents a welcome change from big box hotels. I highly recommend Churchill Guest House.

Alex was very avaliable and helpful

Alex was a wonderful host - friendly and helpful. He answered all of our questions and gave us welcome advice about visiting Dover Castle and about walks in the area. Our room was delightful and well appointed. The kitchen area was adequate and the scones were yummy!

Our host, Alex, was very welcoming, forthcoming with a lot of useful information and the guest house had lots to offer in terms of breakfast options. Alex was so accommodating, even willing to pick up oat milk as a dairy alternative. The beds were super comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. Our host Alex met us at the front door. He was happy and cheerful. Explained how everything was set up. He was keen to anwer our questions about what to see and visit in the Dover area. Thank-you.

Churchill Guest House is charming. The room was comfortable and I loved the decor, including a beautiful fold out writing desk. Lovely garden view from the window, cosy radiator heating and lots of little touches like cocoa and biscuits and a bath robe. There is a variety of things to have for a self-catering breakfast. The lounge is very comfortable with lots of interesting books on the local area, and I spent an evening there learning about the local history happily ensconced in an over-stuffed chair. The house is decorated in a way that is congruent with the age of the house contributing to an atmosphere of the past, but with all the modern comforts. A wonderful old doll's house and cat and mouse coin bank amongst many other treasures to enjoy looking at. Affordable and comfortable, a short walk from the castle and shops.

Churchill house is an absolute gem. This B&B is absolutely beautiful. The decor is in keeping with its the building’s era. Every touch possible was included. Our room was comfortable, clean and wonderfully appointed. The host is extremely responsive. The share kitchen is well stocked and the continental breakfast is varied and generous. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone lookout for a lovely retreat. Thank you Alex. We will be back.
