"Location ok but would not reccommend"

4.0

The hotel is getting old and lacks proper maintenance. The room I stayed in was (I belive) on the 3rd floor and the bathroom was not very clean and the corridors were filthy. The bar dwnstairs seems to be popular with prostitutes. There are many better hotels in Yaoundé, this one is best avoided.

"Go to the fourth floor!"

4.0

Although not expensive (especially if reserved directly and not through the numerous services available in the internet, this hotel's value for money can be questioned. The hotel is getting old, and it shows. If you have to go there, do not accept a room in the first or second floor: my room in the second floor was moist, smelly, and there was a large area of mold on the wall between bathroom and bedroom. The wc seat was broken, the towels and bedsheets were thin and almost brown from constant washing. Noise of AC machines and compressors was constant and right to your ear. I asked to be moved to the fourth floor, and everything changed! Some daylight, some air, clean sheets and happiness! Although there was no reading lamp, the bath mat disappeared the second day and the bed cover disappeared the third day, I was happy. The Internet is sporadic, as it is in the whole city of Yaounde, but once it worked, it worked fine in the rooms. Staff is lovely, helpful, and food in the restaurant is good! And the rooms are quite big with large desks. Why not again, but only in the 4th floor!

"Hotel correct"

6.0

"Stay on the Cheap"

4.0

Yaoundé, the political capital of Cameroon is a bustling city and a place to stay that is clean. comfortable and reasonably priced is not freely available. 5 star accommodations run US$300 to 400 per night. Against this backdrop I choose (my local contact suggested) this hotel as my stay is going to be over 2 weeks. The hotel is in the central part of town and is conveniently located. It has a very modest lobby and an attached restaurant on one side and a bar on the other. The room is spacious but very Spartan. No fancy furnishings. The bathrooms leave much to be desired. Hand held shower in a bathtub with no curtain. Quite a mess each time you shower. The commode was missing its seat, but got that corrected. They provide you with a small soap and nothing else (bring your own shampoo, lotion etc. - can be purchased locally but more expensive than in the US). Bed sheets and blankets are utilitarian rather than comfortable. Wall mounted TV with many channels - only 2 or three in English but that is to be expected as this is the French speaking part of the country. The room is very noisy - could clearly hear the movement in the room above me. The restaurant is average and the service is leisurely. The menu is in French and it was kind of fun trying to explain to the waitress I wanted vegetarian food! They will serve you drinks from the bar at the table. The bar tender was friendly and efficient. All in all, if you want to stay on the cheap, this place will suffice. But for something more comfortable my fellow travelers, go elsewhere!

"Good location"

6.0

It is easy to eat diner around this hotel. There are three Chinese restaurant and one Turckish restaurant and one Cameroonian restaurant. Cameroonian restaurant is Saint Tropez. This is very good. I am very satisfied with Ndore and Smoked Chicken. Hotel is good compared with the other African hotel. Hot water available in the bathroom.

"Hotel of passage"

6.0

First of all make the difference between MeuMi palace and MeuMi hotel (photo). The MeuMi palace is located behind the residence MeuMi, all three are in bastos, chic district ?? beautiful outside but not terrible inside, the interior design need to be changed, no consistency in color. The rooms are average and a lot of problems in the maintenance of facilities, staff bends of kindness to cover failures. One important think, to have hot water in the taps you need to be insomniac because it warm until 7.30..... Hotel to take as a last resort

"Avoid it if you can"

2.0

Stayed there for two nights and it is was. The room was old, ugly, dark and loud. The internet didn't work. The only good thing about this place is that you can walk to many bars and restaurants in the Bastos area.
