Whale's Tail Guest Suites

Very comfortable apartmant. It was quiet and very close to everything.

The ability to use the crab shack for vacuum sealing our fish was great. The exterior of the Whale's Tail was long overdue for pressure washing as it had a lot of mossy gunk on the back of the building. Some of the BBQs were positioned so billows of smoke came right up onto our deck. In our unit there were two kitchen outlets that did not work at all, plus the GFI bathroom outlet did not work and could not be reset. When we called to inquire about it we were told that they knew about the problem and were waiting for ordered parts. A dresser drawer in one bedroom had no bottom so it could not be used. The hall light by the microwave oven did not work and the sun lamp in the bathroom would only flicker a few times and then just go out. The list of kitchen items inside the cupboard door included some things that could not be found such as placemats and a set of mixing bowls. It would have been less disappointing if the front desk attendant would have told us at check-in that the unit had a few problems. Not being able to use any electric devices in the bathroom was especially inconvenient.

The kitchen was a plus.

Spacious, homey

It was quite a large suite and extremely well located. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Exterior needs a paint job, but I can live with that. Bring a sharp knife if you're going to use the kitchen!

1st I was not happy as the place is so old and pretty dirty overall, especially the outside, and shoddy looking and the fridge had a big stain I felt I needed to clean as they are right on a cleaning fee if any dishes were left with big notes. I did not make the stain though! Slept just ok, internet was not too bad but limited tv too. The trouble was I could not stay the 2nd night as my ferry time got moved due to a lack of staffing and to so early and I was 3 hrs to ferry from here and plus the construction made it impossible. Was brushed off to just deal with Expedia but that was just impossible as I was there for work. I did not have the time to be on hold for an hr or so. Then I pleaded this a bit and then I was helped! Should not have to plead, yes? Things happen in life out there. The place was about 212$ a night and honestly worth only 85 a night! Just so very old and no renos done for decades! Plus no on site staff always makes it tougher in case anything goes wrong! Or for emergencies.

Clean, quiet and exactly what we needed!

The suite is geeat. Super clean with an amazing housekeeping staff. The office is a block away. Which isn't too bad. You gotta wash your own dishes. Which is not a big deal. There isn't a view from i believe any of the rooms. But you wouldn't be staying in your suite, you'd be out exploring anyways. There's a gym and sauna but in the building where the office is. I didn't get a chance to use it, i got my exercise by hiking, biking and walking..it's a great location and unfussy checkin and check out. Loved it.

Lots of space, good location

Great space for families. Places are huge and lots of space for kids to run a muck in! Back yard space for kids to run around in and off the beating path so very little traffic around.
