West Coast Motel

Room had all basics needed and was very comfortable & clean. We paid additional sum to have a balcony which overlooked wonderful harbour view. This could have been made a bit more appealing, with a more comfotable seating area (instead of two plastic chairs). However this hotel is perfectly situated in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much & acknowledge it is only rated a 2 star so you get what you pay for in an expensive area on Labour day weekend.

Great location & facilities

Overall ok for the price listed in August. Parking was right in front of our unit so it was good. The two queen and single beds were in good condition and the sofa bed was more comfortable than my expectations. There was a self served BBQ facility for grilling crabs if you like. However, I gave 3 stars for cleanliness because I found a few mouse droppings on the ground near the door and kitchen areas although we didn’t see any mouse, so we swept them away.

Einfaches, aber liebevoll und zweckmässig ausgestattetes Familienzmmer direkt am Hafen mit Blick darauf. Großes Zimmer, viel Platz um aus den Koffern leben zu können. Perfekt für ein Motel. Der Pool ist nichts Besonderes. Für Kinder ist es aber toll zum Toben, da direkt am Pool Spielzeug zur Verfügung gestellt wird (Wasserball, Schwimmbretter, Taucherbrillen, etc). Eine Vielzahl an Restaurants ist fussläufig rreichbar. Wir wåren noch gerne zwei Nächte langer geblieben, da das Motel und die Umgebung von Ucluelet dazu einlädt.

The room was well stocked with supplies like cooking utensils. The dishes and surfaces in general were clean, as was the BBQ. However, the floor was filthy (including rodent droppings on arrival), and the bathroom had obviously had a leak and had a mouldy floor. The room stank badly enough of mould that we had the leave all windows wide open in order to stay there, which was a bit risky as there was a bear outside. The toilet was loose, which, when reported, was not addressed. It was strange, because although there were lots of amenities - including great laundry facilities, a gym, and a pool - the staff didnt tell us about them nor how to access them, and were quite unfriendly. Definitely would have rated this place higher if the floor hadn't been mouldy and dirty, as this truly overwhelmed the rest of the features.

The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, the kitchenette was quite nice, and overall the room provided everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay in the room and at the motel.

The place was great and affordable, would recommend to get the room with kitchen. The food surrounding the area is a little expensive.

In a nice location. Woke up sore but not sure what else to expect in a 2 star. I’d stay again cause it’s about the nature and location.

This motel is way overpriced, our room was damp and moldy and not clean at all, I’ve lots of pictures of mold, plug sockets melted away, dirt, there’s no closet, I’ve asked for a full refund but after a few messages to management they seem to be ignoring us now, we’d never stay here again or recommend it, $320 a night is a joke, location shouldn’t be a excuse to rip people off, they say they’ll charge $40 extra if you leave dirty dishes but don’t fix there own problems with the room or clean it properly.
