Philippion Boutique Hotel

Property located near town , walking distance, however next to a busy road. Although this would not bother us that much there was a major issue with their usage of hot shower . I went to complain after my 9 year old stood in a cold shower waiting for the hot water to run and this had not happened . There were two rude men at the reception who had not idea how to deal with a situation. Iv been told that there is not a problem and I am not the only one complaining about this which actually is not their problem at all but mine ! They left me totally upset as also suggested that the technician will come next day to fixed this but this did not help us as we stayed only one night . In fact of their staff told us that the hotel’s boiler is just not enough to heat up the water after all their guests are using it in a same time and we should wait at least 20 min for it to reheat. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone , unless you don’t mind staying in a cold shower awaking for miracles to come .

The hotel was clean and fairly close to town to walk. The breakfast in the morning was good and the dining room very clean with friendly staff and the pool area was nice. I would, however, recommend some luggage stands in the room, there wasn't a lot of space to unpack the suitcases.

Staff were excellent - friendly helpful and accommodating. Convenient location being 10 minutes walk from Fira, but not in the town. Hotel was nice with large rooms albeit not particularly modern and next door is being developed. Breakfast was pleasant if somewhat limited.

We only stayed one night at this hotel but all our transfers were arranged for us (at an additional cost) and at check in we were welcomed and helped with our bags in a very warm and pleasant way. The room was spotlessly clean. No view but it didn’t really matter as we were off to the ferry port in the morning. The swimming pool looked amazing but we never got a chance to use it. The only negative points were the single beds had incredibly hard mattresses (our double bed was fine). And even though we were leaving at only 7.20 it wasn’t possible to do a packed breakfast as the breakfast isn’t made at the hotel, but is brought in. As a base to explore Santorini, and being so close to the capital, I would return.

Fantastic hotel! The rooms are large, clean and have lovely decor. The grounds of the hotel are well taken care of with flowers and trees throughout. The staff is friendly, helpful and provide excellent customer service. The breakfast was very enjoyable. I deffinately recommend the Philippion Hotel.

The sun beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever laid on. Minus that it was a lovely stay

We were very happy with the location and practicality of our accommodation

The hotel was located on the busy main road from the port to Fira. Our room was one of two at the front of the hotel and had a view of the caldera. Even though the room was at the front of the hotel, the noise was not bothersome. The room and bath were large. But the decor was drab. The pool was at the back of the property. Buffet breakfast was basic. The location was a short walking distance to Fira. It was also a short drive to either the ferry or airport. The hotel arranged transportation for a fee. The service was professional. The front desk staff was very helpful.

All the staff were super friendly and had loads of good tips and advice. It had a really family vibe. The decor was just like the photos, stylish, modern and clean. It was only a 5 min walk into the main town and it overlooked the volcano, plus had a perfect sunset viewing spot right outside. We were very impressed and would certainly come back again.
