The room has a constant background fan noise that could not be turned off which can be a little tedious at night. Also the room was cold and I could not stop the AC or turn on the heating

The staff was super nice, very friendly, and went above and beyond to help. Probably the best thing about our stay was the staff. Rooms are cozy, clean, cute balconies. No serious issues with the property - we may have expected a bit more, but not a major issue. Free cava is a nice touch. Breakfast was ala carte. The area is quite easy to get around, about 10ish minute walk to the beach. Waikiki has fantastic, fresh grilled fish; you can't miss that. Nightlife was also fun, even during Christmas.

The food was awful. We regretted getting half-board. And that wasn't just our opinion. Several guests we spoke to didn't like the food. The chef is trying to do a lot, and it just didn't work, especially the Christmas dinner, which was a set menu. The first course was a weird dumpling with pasta-like, uncooked dough and seafood filling that was dry and grainy. The second course was a SORBET. The second course...? Then we got the main, which was another abomination. We ate out every night after dinner, resorted to Burger King on Christmas Day because the food was just inedible, and we didn't make any backup reservations.

Great accommodation for young and old couples, beautiful style and design. The hotel is quiet, boutique and comfortable with good pool. The staff is always helpful.

The water/bottles with drinking water in the room was not replenished every day, nor was there an option to buy it in the minibar at room. That is a big drawback.
