Derby Swiss Quality Hotel

An excellent stay here in early Jan. Good sized room with balcony and nice hot shower. Stayed on half board basis with excellent selection at breakfast and typical swiss cuisine for evening meals. Hotel have a very good a la carte restaurant . Nice bar area and good sized ski room with heated boot warmers. What is one of the hotels best features is its location overlooking the station and close to the main stop in the town which makes it very convenient for getting around. My room overlooked the station and did not notice any noise from the trains.

My wife & I have just had another superb short break at the Derby Hotel. This was our 10th visit which says it all! The Directors, Marion & Gunnar, are excellent hosts & we always enjoy our Eiger view room at the back of the hotel. All of the staff are attentive, friendly & helpful & as soon as the flights are available we will be booking for January 2027.

Warmwasserversorgung am Abend hat nicht ausgereicht

Since we had to leave early very morning for excursions, having breakfast included with the stay really helped. It saved a lot of time. Breakfast was average. It is the closest hotel to the Grindelwald station. It is literally right next to the train station.

Bed was uncomfortable. Took a shower around 10pm and there was no hot water. Tried calling the hotel staff, but no one answered.
