I want to start this review off positively - if you don't get the half-board option, I think this is a fantastic value hotel. Location - perfect Room size, condition and cleanliness - great, exactly what I expect from the swiss Staff - there's tonnes of them and they're all very friendly and helpful Drink - reasonable prices. Noise? Very minimal, even as I was on the train station side of the hotel, you had to really listen for it (and I have sensitive ears) Myself and my family had rooms in an "apartment" in the penthouse that had its own kitchen and living room, with 3 double bedrooms and a fantastic balcony over the valley. I highly recommend that. However what let me down was the food at dinner time, specifically what you get with half board (I got a package with Crystal Ski). I can't comment on the a la carte. 3 of the nights, unfortunately for me, the first 3 nights consecutively, was some kind of processed meat. This wasn't always immediately clear when you selected your meat / fish / veg option. It's simply not something I'd ever want or expect to be served, especially with such frequency at a decent hotel. The sides were also rather lacking in flavour and volume. The "salad bar" had 5 items on it, 2 of which were some kind of odd mix of green beans and pulses, the rest was plain lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The starters were fine, although very small. I do not suggest going if you dont expect to have a hearty lunch every day. This is one of dozens of times I've skied in Switzerland, I've stayed in 3 and 4 star hotels. At that standard I expect simple but well cooked food, good portions - nothing more or less. This did not live up to that, but if you are very unfussy I'm sure its fine.

Location was perfect. Right next to the train station Included breakfast was great. Very fresh with many options. Staff were incredibly friendly with the room cleaned every day.

The hotel is an absolute gem. It's very authentic, in a perfect location (right next to the train station and you are made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff. The restaurant offers a wonderful menu with lots of choice. Breakfast was lovely and again, lots of choice with fresh coffee brought to your table as many times as wanted. The staff work really hard and really go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Our room had a spectacular view of Mount Eiger which was just breathtaking to wake up to every morning. We would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat
