Coral Point Lodge

View was nice.

The property was very dated. Old plastic chairs on the narrow balcony- 2 of which were broken. No home comforts like nice soap, shampoo etc. old worn furnishings. We couldn’t get an uber or taxi when we wanted and the one we pre ordered was going to cost $40 each way. We left after one night and paid the same money for a beautiful modern house with fantastic views in Airlie beach.

The hotel is on serious need of renovation. Filthy pool, cracked concrete, rust, rickety rotting wood on stairs. Not fit for adults let alone kids. Looks like it hasn’t been renovated for over 30 years. Even the bbq was rusty and not safe to cook on. Location although nice is too far from Airlie beach. Not a single shop nearby. Avoid disappointment by not booking here. Sorry but when you compare to other hotels for the same price this is awful.

Amazing and kind host, clean room with a beautiful view.

Amazing place I could risk saying it’s a forgotten paradise. Surrounded by nature, the room views are stunning, drop dead gorgeous. The owner is an amazing and kind person that will make absolutely everything in his power to make your stay comfortable and nice. The only thing to pay attention to: there’s absolutely nothing around to buy food, take supplies. There’s a fridge in the room, microwaves and kettle. Transportation is also an issue, if you got a car, perfect. Otherwise Ubers and buses are a bit complicated. I would recommend this place one million times, we really enjoyed the peace.

Logistics without a car

The room (number 2) had a stunning view of the ocean and the islands. It was magic. The balcony was good to be able to sit down with a drink and enjoy the views. The room is comfortable enough (with a good aircon and fan) with a decent kitchenette. It's very quiet spot away from the buzz, which is good.

The furniture (and the whole place in fact) is definitely old and tired but functional. The fridge was a bit rusty inside. Better coffee facility (a coffee plunger) would have been nice as the nearest coffee shop is 10-15 km away.

Friendly manager, amazing view, quiet location. Avoid the hustle of Airlie Beach for this gem of a location views and wildlife at your door. Uber to town is around $30

The property is of an older style, but has everything you need.
