Micra Anglia Boutique Hotel & Spa

Eνώ είχα κανει κράτηση για 1 δωμάτιο και ειχα παρει και βεβαίωση για 1 δωματιο 30 τμ μας ειχαν δώσει σοφιτα, πολυ αποπνυκτικό. ειχε παράθυρο στην στέγη μη ανοιγώμενο.

In July, we were in Andros for four nights and five days to visit the history and sites (i.e. museums, monasteries, beaches) of the Island. The Hotel is located in the town of Xora (Xopa in Greek). The location was ideal, near to the central square and beaches. The museums were in walking distance. Regarding the hotel, the room (we stayed in the Loft) was roomy, beige color, clean and romantic. On our arrival, we were greeted professional and warmly by the hostess Dimitrianna. Her Greek and English were impeccable . We were given as a welcome, a glass of champagne along with a brief yet thorough description of the technical aspect of the TV, Sun Roof, air-conditioning controls, etc. An elevator is also available in the hotel. Throughout the day in the hallways, beautiful island romantic music was playing. Breakfast was a wonderful feast, with wonderful local (ntopia) products. every evening we would have a drink in there bar/lounge area where beautiful large candles and excellent service greeted us. They even remembered what we normally would have even before we asked for them. Each drink was accompanied by small variety of tapas( the staff in their lounge were consistently professional,friendly, gracefully attentive and their knowledge and proficiency in various foreign languages excellent. Overall, we agreed that this is a must stay hotel and we will definitely stay again when we return to Andros. The hotel is worth its 5 stars category.

We had a very pleasant experience in the hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The young lady at the front desk (Demetriana) was wonderful. The young man (I did not get his name) who was the bellman and everything else that required a man's touch was extremely energetic, diligent, polite, friendly and quick. The rooms were attractive and clean. The rooms in the main building were the same price and were much more spacious. The shower had a bubbled section which I can only assume was to make it more comfortable if you sit to take a bath. The area for the shower was extremely small and cramped. It was not far from beaches but the good beaches on the Chora side of the island are not easily accessible. Chora (Andros) is the main town of the island and is by far the most attractive town and the most interesting town on the island. The hotel was very close to the main street on Chora. The breakfast buffet was very substantial and good. From an American perspective it could have some breakfast meats, but they are not common in Greece.

The Micra Anglia is a beautifully decorated and wonderfully furnished hotel in the nice little town of Andros Chora. It's a bit pricey for the islands and caters mainly to Greek speaking tourists but it's definitely THE place to stay. It's like being in a decor magazine article. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast is really something - way beyond the normal Greek buffet! This would be a top notch place to stay anywhere in the world.
