Milwaukie Inn Portland South

Good value for money in an accessible location. Property was older, but well maintained. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and prompt on check-in and check-out. Location was convenient for accessing south Portland.

Curtains didn't completely close to block outside light; had to use a binder clip to keep bright street lights off face in bed. Would have appreciated sheer curtains in addition to black-out curtains to have some privacy but let in natural light during the day. Our room was near the main street, and outside traffic noise was not particularly well damped.

Room 22 is right next to McGloughlin blvd. Shower faucet didn't seal when you pulled up handle. Curtains didn't completely close. So they had a zip tie to close them all the way

It was quiet and there was a kitchen.

Hidden charges such as extra per day fees for pets and the kitchen. On top of the $490 we paid with booking we were charged an additional $270 in pet and kitchen fees. When we booked online the booking was deceptive because we clicked on the photo with the kitchen thinking the price shown was for what was advertised. When we reached out for clarification and assistance we were met with horrible customer service and the staff at the property was rude and uninviting. Liz from the office to be exact. The bed, kitchen stove light and fan were also broken.
