Royal Hotel

The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and there is a friendly atmosphere and a great choice of beverages in the bar. We ate in the hotel on one of our two nights, my wife had a delicious Thai fusion sea bass and I had an equally nice Thai green curry. Breakfast is very good with a choice of fruit/cereals etc and a selection of hot food cooked to order.

Very helpful and pleasant staff, the bar especially has a very homely atmosphere.

The staff were wonderful, helpful and courteous, the room was a lovely size, the bed very comfy... We had an evening meal here this time, absolutely delicious and very well presented.. We also had the buffet breakfast on both our stays here, again, lovely food, hot and plenty to choose from..

Just a couple of small things, a wee bit of dust here & there, and a coffee cup stain on the bedside table.... Almost as if the room was rush cleaned and these few bits missed... Otherwise, everything was fine during our second stay at this hotel...

Pretty much everything, Lovely restaurant and very good menu. Steak was a delight although pepper sauce too mild for my taste

Breakfast room very bright and carvery night very hot and too bright. Fire alarm activated at 4.50 am and having to evacuate hotel for 40 minutes!

Reception staff seemed Over welmed

Breakfast menu was basic, but what i ordered was really nice, nice quality and i requested my poached eggs to be cooked, firm, and they came perfect. My last day was a buffet breakfast and had everything you needed. My room was spacious, i was on the front of the hotel and could hear the music from the bar, but that suited me and i enjoyed listening to it. It didn't go on at all late.

I felt check in was a little slow and while the receptionist eventually acknowledged me, she still carried on filling other paper work in, making me wait. I didnt see anyone else on the reception for the rest of my 4 day stay. The carpets throughout the hotel were quite stained but everything else was clean.
