The Hare & Hounds Inn

The property itself was beautiful. Staff were friendly and I loved the bath in the room.

Staff didn’t greet me on arrival so I was unsure if I was in the right place. I had to wait over an hour to check in but there was nowhere in the building to sit and wait so I had to wait in the car as it was heavy rain outside. When I went back in I checked in and was showed to my room. I found that the toilet was blocked and I was first told “I’m not sure there’s anything we can do about this, you will have to use the ladies downstairs”. The toilet was fixed in the end. My hot breakfast the next morning was cold which was disappointing.

The inn had a fantastic atmosphere and our room was lovely. Very spacious, but cosy at the same time with a beautiful bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the towels big and fluffy, the views scenic. What not to like? :) Also, the breakfast was fantastic, finally a place where they don't just serve full English for breakfast every morning, but you have other options too.

We liked everything.
