Amazing staff, amazing food.

Not great lighting in the bathroom

Fantastic place to visit / stay - Really friendly and accommodating staff; great venue, food (dinner and breakfast) and drink (much better than ordinary pub grub); pet friendly. Booking, check in and check out was easy.

Minor issues - Coat hangers required for the wardrobe; some bathroom fittings were loose - sink shelf and hooks couldn't be used; leaking shower screen. Fine for our short (1night) stay but this would be less user friendly for longer stays. Some basic (and quick) maintenance would resolve. Otherwise all good.

Food was very good but a little overpriced

Only really the stairs which were very steep and had no handrail on a couple of flights

Perfect location to do a sunset walk up Gummers How followed by a trip to Ambleside and Windermere the next day!

Breakfast & Dinner were both very very good

wifi was unreliable in our room, minor issue.

Loved the room, the staff and the location. It was exactly what we wanted from our stay in the Lake District. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here as the staff are brilliant.

Nothing really, but having a car would be ideal.

Character Inn, peaceful location. Quiet

Air a little stuffy in hallway/ landing area. Couldn’t accommodate me for breakfast first day on arrival .
