Amatara Welleisure Resort

I was upgraded to a bigger suite with it being the low season which was really appreciated. The bed was huge and comfy, and the aircon worked really well. The bathroom was well equipped with bath+shower over and a separate rainfall shower cubicle (which was massive). The breakfast buffet was extensive, and they also had an a la carte menu with some nice options like pandan pancakes with coconut ice cream. The pool was beautiful (although I didn't go in) and there were plenty of lounge chairs. Lunch and dinner went down well - everything was well cooked. There is also a very small private beach which is good for swimming or relaxing in and the hotel provides water sport activities like padel boarding (I believe these were free of charge in the low season). Managed to use the gym which was well equipped for a hotel with free weights, cardio machines, resistance machines, and had classes available. The infrared sauna and steam room were nice after a hard workout. The Spa and wellness centre was beautiful. I got a physio check-up and oil massage which was slightly cheaper than in the UK (but expensive for Thailand). The whole experience was worthwhile - I was provided with tea before and after my massage and was well looked after. The physio appointment came about because of a chat I had with staff at breakfast and they got it booked for me. When I went back separately for a message, I was given special attention for my ankle. Excellent service.

The service was so attentive it took me some getting used to. This isn't a negative in the slightest - but anticipate people helping with bags, checking up on you, striking up conversation to try and make you feel welcome.

I have not yet received the deposit of THB 6000 2 months after check out. That gives a bad impression to the customer.

Love the stunning setting – beautiful sea views and lush well manicured gardens and infinity pools visible from the hotel room and all restaurants, beautiful common areas, including lobby and restaurants, top quality healthy food both Thai and western, highly professional well trained staff and abundant facilities including spa, yoga, Pilates etc

Lovely and memorable experience. The place was comfortable. Love the foods and activities. The staffs went above and beyond to make sure our needs met. Looking forward to coming back here. Totally recommended! Shout out to all the staffs at the gym the restaurant and the front desk. Khun Jay and his team kept on providing us with amazing dishes to try and we love them all.

The resort is stunning and Top is helpful and passionate. Love here!

the beach, was totally useless with garbage from anchored ships in front of the hotel. too dirty to swim or even wade through water
