Amatara Wellness Resort is an exceptional experience and, while it is certainly expensive, it is worth every penny. If you're considering a stay, I highly recommend purchasing one of the wellness packages. From the moment you arrive, you are genuinely looked after every step of the way. The journey begins with a consultation with the doctor and physio, including a comprehensive body scan, which helps tailor the program to your individual goals. The physio then lets the massage therapist know what areas they should work on. I came to lose weight, and the level of personalised care and guidance I received was outstanding. The team continually supported and encouraged me, ensuring I stayed on track and felt motivated throughout my stay. The meals are exceptional—healthy, beautifully prepared, and delicious. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to help you achieve the results you're looking for while still feeling indulged. What truly sets Amatara apart, however, is the kindness of the staff. The genuine care, encouragement, and support they provide make all the difference. You never feel like just another guest; you feel valued, understood, and cared for. The entire experience is pure luxury, combining world-class wellness facilities, breathtaking surroundings, and impeccable service. I left feeling healthier, lighter, and completely rejuvenated. I stayed here for my birthday in 2025 and the ladies made my stay so welcome and enjoyable, I knew I needed to stay again! Even though this was a belated birthday trip, Top, made sure to celebrate my return as if it were still my birthday! I truly wasn’t expecting anything, the surprise was greatly appreciated and heartwarming! The grounds here are so beautiful, and they can take you around by golf cart or you can stroll around on your own. The gym has a beautiful beach view. The beach is private and of course the pool has the breathtaking view. Being here is like being transported to paradise. The breakfast selection is delicious and healthy. I was sad to leave! Nureen was so helpful as well with making sure my stay concluded smoothly and happily. I will absolutely return. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay and to help you with whatever you may need from start to finish. Everyone here is so cheerful and welcoming it’s wonderful.

I was upgraded to a bigger suite with it being the low season which was really appreciated. The bed was huge and comfy, and the aircon worked really well. The bathroom was well equipped with a bath and shower over and a separate rainfall shower cubicle (which was massive). The breakfast buffet was extensive, and they also had an a la carte menu with some nice options like pandan pancakes with coconut ice cream. The pool was beautiful (although I didn't go in) and there were plenty of lounge chairs. Lunch and dinner went down well - everything was well cooked. There is also a very small private beach which is good for swimming or relaxing in and the hotel provides water sport activities like paddle boarding (I believe these were free of charge in the low season). Managed to use the gym which was well equipped for a hotel with free weights, cardio machines, resistance machines, and had classes available. The infrared sauna and steam room were nice after a hard workout. The Spa and wellness centre was beautiful. I got a physio check-up and oil massage which was slightly cheaper than in the UK (but expensive for Thailand). The whole experience was worthwhile - I was provided with tea before and after my massage and was well looked after. The physio appointment came about because of a chat I had with Nui about the world cup at breakfast and they got it booked for me. When I went back separately for a message, I was given special attention for my ankle.

The service was so attentive it took me some getting used to. This isn't a negative in the slightest - but anticipate people helping with bags, checking up on you, striking up conversation to try and make you feel welcome.
