Le Friquet Country Hotel

Very nice hotel with lovely grounds and great restaurant. Comfortable bedroom, all it lacks is a room safe. Good access to the very cheap Guernsey bus lines.

The staff are very friendly, the room very spacious, with a very comfy bed and air con. Breakfast was excellent if not a bit slow on occasion. A lift would have been the icing on the cake but overall very good.

Stayed for 3 nights midweek. Easy check-in. Staff very helpful and cheerful, enjoyed a bit of banter. Restaurant pretty good - amazing decor post-refurbishment. Food generally excellent, but waiting staff tend to be a bit eager in snatching your plate away while you're still consuming your last mouthful! Beware of the exit from the hotel onto Le Friquet road - despite the presence of mirrors opposite, it's a difficult exercise! Rooms comfortable and not noisy, plumbing worked OK

In January the hotel is quiet with few guests but we were lodged in an attic room up two flights of narrow stairs - and the winding attic stairs are no joke with a suitcase or two. The mattress was worn out and gave in, the pillows were sausage shaped and hard. It was a late arrival for one night only, we were already in PJs so just slept. Couldn't face those stairs again (no elevator.) Tiny but functional bathroom. The room could use a couple of comfortable chairs and power outlets at the desk. Somewhere outside is an apparatus that sounds like a muffled compressor - a heat pump maybe? It cycled on/off all night long. Quietly audible. When it turns off, you lie there waiting for it to come on again. . . The staff are terrific, helpful and friendly. Love them. The restaurant is very modern, high end menu mostly fish but with a good meat menu too. I prefer the old Carvery restaurant, before the modernization. Just a personal preference, I'm sure the current restaurant gets top marks. Nice gardens to stroll in. Plenty of free parking.

Everyone was so lovely and there are two buses close by that take you anywhere in the island.

The staff were really helpful and very friendly, Good choice of food at breakfast. The restaurant and bar are excellent again well staffed and very attentive.

I now stay at this hotel regularly; having tried many others, this is the best, and at a reasonable price.

Great bright room with air conditioning, very comfortable bed, well-lit modern bathroom. Bar and restaurant newly refurbished and smart and comfortable. Food above average. Staff excellent. Good WIFI. Plenty of car parking space.
