It was beautiful. Close to the water. Sand friendly.

Price. Our room looked like it was being patched up.

This is the perfect location for a beachfront hotel in Santa Cruz - across the street from the beach and walkway, but away from the hubbub of the amusement park. It was quiet and has terrific oceanview communal spaces (upstairs deck and street-level patio).

It is odd that there is no one at the front desk at check out time. Also, I was not expecting to have to pay for parking. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are great options very close by. Room lighting was not great (too dark), but a minor issue. Overall, a very good hotel in an outstanding location.

Location and view

The location was absolutely perfect for my husband & our 9 & 13 year old! It was a short walk to both the pier & the boardwalk. Shops, bars & restaurants were all steps away! The beach was right across the street which was great, especially since we happened to be right where the beach volleyball nets are!

My only complaints are that all of our windows opened up to the parking lot, except the one that faced the ocean. Also, there was quite a bit of light that shines in at night due to gaps in the curtains. Other than that, we absolutely loved this inn! Great price, especially for the location!

Close to the beach and boardwalk

The stairs and they didn’t call me when room was ready. We had to walk back and check and then had to wait a bit because there was a broken freezer issue
