As l travelled by bus l was walking. The road is busy and there's no footpath so the walk15 to 20 Minutes was difficult.

Antoinette is an inspiring, warm and generous host who helps you discover the Avebury monuments and landscape, not only for its archeological, but also its spiritual significance. She cooks a varied and tasty vegetarian breakfast (not standard included in the price). Breakfast is shared with the host and the other guests and is a wonderful, pleasant experience. The breakfast room could be used during the day to have tea or coffee and read. The bedroom is comfortable and beautifully decorated. On the ground floor, we could enjoy a semi-private patio in the garden.

Avebury Life is a delightful little B&B run by the lovely Antoinette, situated about 15 minutes walk (via some charming back lanes) from the main village of Avebury and it's mind-boggling Neolithic monuments. It's comfortable, handy for everything (including jaunts to nice local pubs), and it's a magnet for interesting travellers whom our host gathers around the breakfast table for conversation. I so enjoyed meeting my fellow guests and talking with them in the morning over coffee, and yet you can have as much space and quiet as you need.

As is often the case, places to put things in the bathroom. An extra shelf of two would be really handy.

Antionette creates an atmosphere of gathering and welcome. Connecting with other guests over breakfast added too the delight and richness of being in Avebury. The location was an easy walk to the town centre. A balance of close and not right in the midst. Antoinette clearly enjoys her guests. It was a delightful visit.

The host was wonderful, and her breakfast was amazing. We woke up to the smell of homemade bread. Lovely wask into the village and the site.
