The Wheatsheaf Inn

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice welcome. Room was spotless. Good breakfast in the morning.

Difficult to lock room - there is a knack to it that was explained.

Het mooie oude Engelse hotel en vriendelijk personeel. Goed Engels ontbijt. Helaas geen naturel yoghurt voor het continental ontbijt. Alleen een gezoet yoghurtje. Prettige sfeer in het hotel. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening, ook bij het avond eten.

Slechte wifi! Bedden waarvan de vering plopte en die hun langste tijd wel gehad hebben. Enkel glas, voor de kamers langs de weg wel gehorig m.b.t het verkeer. ( Voor 3 van ons,) Erg kleine kamer en uitzicht op een heel klein achter plaatsje. (Voor twee van ons). Ook erg warm, de zon scheen op onze kamer overdag. Geen airco. Wat betreft continental ontbijt weinig keuze.

The location and the breakfast!

The noise from the traffic. We had to have the window open because the weather was so hot. Also, the emergency light in the room disturbed our sleep.

The Inn was the by far the cheapest option in the wider area. Many other places were asking silly prices. It was convenient to have a pub restaurant on site. The pub food was tasty, but of a limited range. Being on the edge of town, the Inn was easy to find and access with plenty of parking spaces. We had road-facing rooms, but traffic was fairly light and I wasn't disturbed by road noise. The cooked breakfast was good, with a few cold items in addition.

Our rooms were simple and functional, but had everything I needed, except air-conditioning - it was May and the nights were cool enough that we were comfortable enough to sleep well, but on really warm nights the lack of air-conditioning might be a problem
