I am beyond grateful for my stay in Mundo Milo. No words is enough to describe my humble experience. I came here with the intention of spending one night, away from home, to say the least- I am still here on day 3. From the minute I walked in Lieke (the owner) greeted my with. a smile & explained a few things about the suite I am stying in. Everything is so thoughtfully created to have this extraordinary experience to connect with nature & simplicity of life. While it may seem so simple, I couldn't help to notice the intentions and efforts behind every little thing that was placed to give guests the out pouring love that she carries in her heart. Michiel & Lieke are extremely thoughtful people, I am grateful to witness their true care and the hospitality of serving others. I have created a retreat name "Lalambari" to serve my purpose and I feel the Universe has guided me to experience this stay and to learn how Lieke & Michiel are doing what they love to do, and sharing their joy with others. This place is not only beautiful & welcoming, it is also full of nature & you will see all the beautiful singing birds around, the pool is stunning, food is out of this world. I am truly grateful for this incredible experience. Thank You Lieke & Michiel for doing what you do, a big thanks to all your staff as well. I intend to be back with my family and friends to share this experience again.

The generous hosts Michael and Lieke made our stay such a pleasure and an experience that was a highlight of our 6 weeks in CR and Panama. We were able to participate in release of baby turtles on 3 occasions during our 5 night stay and was directed to a beautiful snorkelling spot which was perfect for our kids to enjoy safely. When our daughter developed an infection they helped us get competent medical attention. The pool and restaurant were wonderful and the warm and kind hosts made all the difference. Oh, and not to forget our tailor-made bikinis that we had made via Liekes kind help. What a beautiful experience

Our family of five, including three children, had a marvelous experience at Mundo Milo. The hosts, Lieke and Michiel, were extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating. They gave us lots of tips and advice to make sure we had the best experience possible. We enjoyed the local beaches, the hotel pool, the excellent breakfasts, and the delicious dinners. When we first arrived, Michiel sent us to the beach in time to participate in releasing baby turtles with a local nonprofit. Lieke helped us tend to our sunburned kids. We would love to go back.

Amazing hotel, quiet, clean, great staff, owners on site so everything is well maintained. Great advice from the owners on area activities. Snorkeling, turtles, etc. The food is amazing. We'll be back any chance we get.

A wonderfully small (seven-unit) eco-lodge run by a very friendly and accommodating pair (Micheal and Lieke). They helped with efforts to arrange ground transport to the lodge and a fishing charter, provided helpful tips on local hiking trails, provided critical updates which allowed my wife and I to connect with a last-minute baby turtle release event, and even assisted by loaning me a personal copy of their Costa Rican bird book! The pool was beautiful, spotlessly clean, never crowded, and very refreshing. Unlike the water in many other pools, the chlorine content was well-balanced and not overwhelming. Staff were charming and responsive. Plastic was almost completely absent from the lodge (bring your own shampoo). Interestingly, the pathways were swept clean daily, NOT with a loud leaf blower, but rather manually via simple rake. We stayed in the Persian #1 unit, which included a covered patio (doubling as a bird watching blind). The included breakfast was substantial. While always incorporating a yogurt and a bowl of seasonal mixed fruit, one also could add a plate-sized pancake, eggs, and seasoned rice with black beans. For lunch, we often ordered a salad - which arrived with a garnish of finely spiral-cut carrots and beets, along with cucumbers (I enjoyed the grilled chicken addition). A carafe of H2O, with limes and mint was a nice option. Diners were fantastic! The beef tenderloin steak was nicely prepared (at $22 USD, it was the most expensive offering on the menu). Tuesday is sushi night and is a big draw (although the main menu is also available). It is obvious that the chef crafts each dish with loving care.

My partner and I booked the lodge in the second week of November 2023 for 3 nights but ended up staying only one night. We were negatively surprised after the good reviews and a 9.6 score of the condition of the Mexican bungalow as it had a very strong moldy odor. The owner was accommodating in letting us change to the other Mexican bungalow but it also smelled moldy. My educated guess is that all bungalows are going to be moldy from the impression of the place. Guys, mold is really bad for your health..respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma. Mold can cause a plethora of digestive issues like stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting• Nasal and sinus congestion. Eye irritation, such as itchy, red, watery eyes. Wheezing and difficulty breathing. Cough. Throat irritation. Skin irritation, such as a rash. Headache. Also the toilet gave an unhygienic impression. Air conditioning blows directly over one bed. Food was ok. I don’t recommend a stay at this lodge.

We stayed here a couple of days. It’s a very nice and welcoming place to stay. Nothing fancy, but just right, and everything you need. The owners try to do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Good food for a very reasonable price. The houses are with AC which is very pleasant, because it can get hot. We had neighbours right next to us, but we never heard them. Very well build houses. We absolutely loved it.
