Hotel Babis

The location is perfect, everything is near, sea, supermarket and bus station.

The Babis is family owned - relaxed , no heirs and graces - I loved it .

The beds are a little hard but otherwise I have nothing to complain about .

If you are looking for a quiet,relaxing and peaceful accommodation and area, this is your place! It is far from agitation but so close to it at the same time. ( The distante from Babis to Rethymno is about 10km and there you can Find e everything you want, but then you return to silence and relaxation at the hotel) the beach is also kind of wild and empty, no many people in there, so by night you can stay on the beach and hear the sound of the sea and nature-the perfect place for relax. Also,Manoils, the owner, is a very kind Greek man but he speaks English too. He helps you with any questions you have. The rooms are clean, you won’t find here luxury but the hotel is looking very well and very clean. You can rent a car for long walkings or you can go by bus or day trips( I recommend day trips to many destinations in Crete). I will return here for sure!

Lovely hotel. We were originally booked into another hotel which we did not find suitable and Hotel Babis came to our rescue. Rooms beautifully clean and well maintained. Cleaner made our beds and cleaned room everyday. Breakfast was part of price and very nice. Bread, boiled egg, ham, cheese, tomato, cereals etc plus fresh coffee and orange juice. Pool a good size and clean with plenty of sun loungers . Our hosts very welcoming and friendly. This is only a small hotel . No entertainment but serves as a great base to explore Crete.
