location - a stone throw from kopitiam food.

1)The front wooden door to the room is so heavy. I had to push with all my strength to open and close door albeit a recovering dislocated shoulder. 2)Late in the evening at 8pm, I discovered my usb cable was not charging. I was distressed as I was due to check out the next day and the fear of not able to google map nor grab to my next trip to Gurney was very real and daunting. I lift down to the front desk at 6am asking for help. It was manned by a young boy who flatly refused to sell nor lend me the cable to charge up my phone. My phone is down to 2%. Young boy told me to go out at 7am to find a 7-Eleven store. 7-Eleven does not sell the Type C cable. I had to return to my room. In desperation on my way for breakfast, I again requst the staff at Front Desk to power up my phone which I am relieved she did. The young boy could have help to de-escalate my stress!

"One of the most pathetic stays I ever had in my long travel history."

Rude, unfriendly staff. Hardly any amenities in the room. The hotel is at the best 1 star. Only good thing is its location. It is centrally located and well connected with the rest of the city. I will not recommend it to anyone travelling to Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.
