I have never been so disgusted and disappointed with a stay at a Wyndham/Worldmark/Trendwest affiliated facility in all my years as an owner. The only front desk staff that was even remotely friendly was the that checked me in to begin with. The other two might as well have just stood there and said nothing- it would have ended the same. The kid (with the teardrop tattoo) with the blank look on his face who was hiding in the dark, in the corner, behind the desk Friday morning when I came down and told him that I was woken at 130 am to the smell of cigarette smoke permeating through my room, choking me, was priceless. When we came back to our room that evening and had to walk through marijuana stench cloud which had penetrated into it room was even more infuriating. It took a good two hours for the stink to dissipate, and only because we barricaded the bottom of our door with our dirty clothes. Much to my dismay, I was again woken to the smell of cigarette smoke. Disgusting. So much for a smoke free facility?? My husband and I are essential workers who work in the Tulsa area saving lives on a daily basis. We chose this facility as our place of refuge during snowmageddon. This turned out to be a regrettable decision. Both La Quinta and Wyndham should be ashamed.
