Comfortable, had character, clean, great location, friendly staff.

Long, steep staircase, no elevator.

Over priced for a shared bathroom

A step back in time. Central location. Durango Silverton Railroad was close by and interesting to watch. High altitude was an issue for us as we noticed breathing issues. Travelled from eastern coast area.

Le côté vieillot de l'hôtel. On se serait cru au far- west ! Trop cool. Cet hôtel est une machine à remonter le temps. La localisation au centre du village de Silverton qui fait partie de l'ambiance far- west. La porte d'entrée ouverte en permanence. Le café toujours à disposition. Les peignoirs mis à disposition pour quand on va faire sa toilette. Le parking non payant dans la rue devant l'hôtel.

Une seule salle- de - bains et toilette pour toutes les chambres ( 6 ou 7). Gênant quand on doit faire piping la nuit.

Teller House is absolutely charming. It has all the modern amenities, yet we felt as if we'd gone back in time to stay in a fashionable hotel open to the well-to-do. I could have imagined being picked up by a horse-and-carriage for an evening out at a soirée. We had a room with a shared bathroom. It was down the hall, as in many European hotels, and Teller House left us robes. The bathroom was never busy. We found many campy Western bars in Silverton, and they looked like fun; but we recommend where we spent our one evening in the tiny town. Villa Dallavalle is just behind Teller House on the back street. There, we had a lovely warm evening relaxing in their garden with wine tasting and crudités. We felt like we were in Italy.

All was well.
