Very clean place and friendly staff Planning my next reservation

This is a great place to vacation. We stayed in one of the standard rooms and it was very comfortable, clean and updated. The hotel is mostly bungalows with the kitchen/dining areas open to the center courtyard and then the bedroom/bath enclosed. So if you like a lot of privacy you should get a standard room but these only have a coffee maker, no kitchen or dining area. The staff are wonderful and they work hard to keep the place in great shape.

An excellent and clean hotel on a great beach. But no Internet in the rooms, and elsewhere it was intermittent at best.

The property is extremely well managed and run. Cleanliness was outstanding. Even the elevator smelled of cleanser. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I wonder whether some of the maintenance work might have been done in less than high season, but it does indicate management's intention to provide excellent facilities.

this property is way over priced, we stay in a cabin one night and a suite the next night. The cabin has outdoor cooking space and the inside in a bedroom and a VERY small bathroom ( shower was small but great pressure) Beds are the typical hardness and the noise from the Beach traffic was loud at time and quiet. The Ocean View suite was one bedroom with no privacy. Kitchen and living area is wide open and exposed to everyone walking by and looking from the other rooms

Excellent location, pool, security. Suite units lack privacy especially on the ground floor. We were there 6 days and had issues with the water for 3 - one day there was no water, once no hot water, and a broken pipe in the bathroom which sent water all over the bedroom and living area.

They charge extra money at the time we checked in very sad

We just completed our 1st visit to Rincón de Guayabitos and I cannot say enough about how great this place is! While it was just our first time at Cabanas del Capitan, we made acquaintances with another couple on their 6th visit to Guayabitos who have stayed at multiple places along the beach and they too found Cabanas del Capitan to be exceptional. Just tremendous attention to detail outstanding customer service. For example, our refrigerator died and they had a brand new one in our room within 2 hours. The grounds are immaculately maintained and rooms are too! I don’t think you can find a better place on the beach. We really liked the open-air kitchen and dining with partial scenic view of the ocean. They are adjacent to a public access way to the beach and you can sometimes get some late night and early morning noise while sleeping, but it was still an absolutely perfect stay!

Nice hotel,staff not friendly ..front desk staff 🙁

Very clean, lovely atmosphere, but didn’t like the sleeper couch out in the open with no privacy!
