The Samoan Outrigger Hotel

Nice friendly place. Good breakfast, close to town. This is a great cheap small hotel that has a family feel to it. The pool was very nice after a day out in Samoa. You can't help but meet fellow travellers at breakfast each morning which was neat.

This hotel is a little out of town but there is a grocery store & cafe within 5 minutes walk. The rooms are very clean but basic. We were looking forward to swimming in the pool however it was very cloudy either requiring chlorine or just been treated. The pool is very old and in poor condition. The positive about this hotel is the helpful staff. Would not recommend it

I enjoyed staying at the Outrigger. Staff are friendly and helpful, great security and I met some lovely fellow travellers.

It was good to be able to experience living in a typical Samoan house. A fale is a thatched house with walls made of woven leaves so they can be drawn up to let the breeze in.

A good place to stay. Was in the main house and the room was very hot, but bearable when blinds were opened and breeze able to flow through. No Aircon, but wasn't expecting it at that price.

Fale is very tidy. Close to supermarkets and restaurants around the area. One thing I wasn't a fan of is security roams around with a torch that shines into your room sometimes while you're trying to sleep. Complimentary breakfast is very nice and filling.

A very tidy place to stay with great staff who were so accommodating and took care of any requests we had. Awesome value for money accommodation. Have rentals too at really good rates.

Suspect they mark up the room rates so they appear to be good when discounted! This hotel is located on a hill, after arriving late, we were woken up by trucks labouring up the hill.

Laid back. Well set out. Good breakfast. Swimming pool. Walking distance to Apia town centre and beach.

All staff members were 'friendly' and 'approachable', and were very 'helpful'...we enjoyed our stay in the Fale...may need to take 'ear plugs' or 'eye mask'...and will need to 'share' if occasion arises...otherwise we enjoyed the Fale and our stay...we will definitely come again...highly recommended for budget travellers and Samoan experience!!!
