Hotel Casona de La Isla

The view, the location and the breakfast.

If you take a vehicle it's hard to get a parking. The food we had for Dinner was okay but was not what I expected. The breakfast was delicious doh.

Good location, lovely pool and the staff were so kind with my attempts at Spanish and helping me stay on the property until my late flight

The room was a little bit hot and pokey but with the AC it was pretty good

The hotels in a good central location with a free shuttle service included from the airport! From walking in the reception area I was expecting it to be really nice but the apartment let it down, it was quite dated and didn't feel very clean, the bathroom was very small and not practical at all for the size of apartment you would expect a bigger bathroom! The shower filled up with water straight away and it drained extremely slowly. The pool area smelt of chlorine as soon as you walked up to it and there was hardly any sunbeds to sit on! The breakfast was okay nothing special it was probably one of the worst included breakfasts during our time in Guatemala. With some improvements this could be a really good hotel

The hotel is in a great location overlooking the lake and well positioned for sunset drinks on the terrace. We had a big room with three beds and had a very enjoyable stay in Flores. The Hoteles de Petelen seem to have a few properties on the island. Was definitely nice to be able to have a dip in the pool after a sunset tour of Tikal.
