"Nice!!!!"

I stayed in this hotel in what would be considered downtown newark. Newark is not very big but yet it's built like a city and not a town. The hotel was very nice and within walking distance of bars and pizza, The bed was great, as was the TV, which actually had a working guide, The bathroom wasn't super fancy but nice and functional, There is a resturuant and a starbucks attached. The breakfast is better than average for sure but it isn't free, You either pat $13 when you book or when you eat, Will stay again.

The room itself was dated and not clean. There was some small debris on the carpet, the sheets appeared to not have been changed from the previous guest, and there was mold growing in the shower. Did not meet expectations for the level of stars and other previous reviews.

"Great Staff and all that you need! "

The room was great and the hotel staff was amazing!!!! We loved our flatbread at the restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful glass of wine at the bar. The bartender was great too. Loved having the convenience of a Starbucks as well. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the lighting in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was outstanding!!!

Requested a 'street side' King Suite room. This was accommodated per my reservation. Cindy is a great host, the parking spaces are well lit, nice food options within walking distance, wonderful theatre next door! Poor Starbucks.

"Awesome service, clean hotel"

Taylor was working the front desk on Thanksgiving and couldn’t have been more helpful/welcoming. She recognized our diamond status by name alone, and went the extra mile to make us feel cared for at the doubletree. Whatever she’s getting paid is definitely not enough, she’s awesome!

It was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly! Loved that it has a Starbucks in the hotel. It was close to the theatre where we had tickets for a concert. Would definitely stay again.
