Windrose B&B

Lovely location. It’s a simple rustic guesthouse that has everything you need - and the host, Anna, is so delightful that you are glad you chose it. She’s so warm and welcoming, gives you a map with lots of local tips (all of which we followed) and lots of local info. Great cooked and European breakfast (best home baked bread!), fresh coffee, juice etc. For a simple, comfortable and very welcoming home stay accommodation it’s perfect.

Anna was a very welcoming host. The long table guaranteed the opportunity to chat with other travellers at breakfast. Your room does not have a fridge, but Anna froze our ice container for our forward travel, and we could store items in the mini fridge in the common room.

The barbecue area is a bit uninviting with cobwebs and frogs.

Nice comfortable spacious room, well equipped and nicely located. Our host Anna is very friendly and helpful. The full breakfast is a big bonus here.

Nothing

The room was cosily compact but comfortable and just as seen in the photos. We loved having outside access and enjoyed sitting looking over the garden and pond. The bathroom was more than adequate with a good shower and we liked the products provided. The communal room was a useful space to use in the evening and we were able to put food items in the fridge overnight. Breakfast was excellent and served with a very friendly smile. The location is good being half way between Ocean Beach and Denmark, both of which are attractive. We did need to use the car to get about and local restaurants were not open on a Monday night which wasn’t ideal.

The duvet could have been bigger and we found the room a little on the dark side but weren’t in there long enough for it to be a bother.

Very friendly host. Nice and quiet and cooked breakfast was a great bonus.
