The Originals City, Hôtel des Lys, Dreux

It’s location was ideal for us. The room was very clean.

It was advertised as having disabled facilities so I booked a room and asked for a wet room. We’re were given a double room with a shower. There were no grab rails in the shower or by the toilet and no room to get a wheelchair in. My wife had to forgo showering.

Excellent reception from Natalie as we arrived, she could not do enough for us. The hotel is modern exceptionally clean and nothing looks tired. The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. The room was extremely quiet and we slept very well. We particularly liked the fact that the car park is secured by gate and fencing. The breakfast was excellent value for money . We definitely will stay here again.

Room was clean. Air con worked! Nearby restaurants and shops was a plus.

Bar closing early. Difficulty getting in on arrival.

Spacious clean room and bathroom with separate toilet with tea/ coffee facilities. Ideally located for a Stopover enroute S France or return. Excellent secure parking. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff v helpful.

For the larger room (superking bed) the shower is above a bath. That is fine but a grab handle to help support yourself on exiting the bath would be useful. We were a bit disappointed that only waxed paper cups were provided to make tea/coffee in the room. We would have preferred something a bit more robust although to be fair we got three refills out of them.
