A little oasis in Ubud! This beautiful place is a short walk (15min) away from the bustling city center but very quiet at the same time so you can have a proper rest! The staff are amazing and make sure you have everything you need. The food we had for breakfast was also delicious!

"We were “Home”"

The staff were absolutely fabulous. We were part of the family, I miss them already:) Thanks Gerry for all your help! Lovely breakfast brought to our room. The tranquility in the garden but close to the city centre.

Very unique and pretty amazing grounds and aesthetic. Nice refreshing pool.

More hooks in the rooms to hang items. More towels would have been nice too.

"The perfect stay in Ubud!"

The staff, the location, the breakfast, the hospitality and the property itself!

The room for 3/4 has stairs so if you have children or senior citizens then this may not be the best room option but they have smaller rooms without stairs.

Our stay at Gunung Merta Bungalows was wonderful from start to finish. The location is excellent — peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still close to the center of Ubud, restaurants, and local attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay feel relaxing and very welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and full of authentic Balinese charm. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning — fresh, delicious, and served with a smile. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Ubud with beautiful surroundings and warm hospitality.

"Comfy and tranquil"

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband was unfortunately ill for our entire stay and they helped where possible. We were also staying for our anniversary so they surprised us with a beautiful presentation in the room when we arrived! The location is close enough to where you want to be but by no means in the thick of it. Pool area was v relaxing.
