The Famous Star Hotel Moffat

Good, no excellent, food. A charming and unique small hotel. Really reccomend this location in the middle of a colourfull and interesting town. The staff were very friendly and went out their way to be helpful to us in a minor crisis. The plumbing appears to have been replaced recently and the bathroom had an excellent shower.

Lovely location, staff really lovely and helpful and food was fantastic we had evening meal on the night we go there (Lamb Kofta) which was beautiful and cooked breakfast the next day which again was excellent. Special mention to the wait staff who were fantastic and really lovely. Already looking to book our next stay. Lovely local shops too.

Nothing to dislike we loved our stay.

The room was basically tidy and the staff were friendly. The position of the hotel served it's purpose.

They had no morning chef, so were unable to offer a proper breakfast.

Friendly central clean and had everything you could want

It is famous - the "narrowest hotel in the world". I think you pay a premium for the reputation. A warm welcome at the bar where we checked in - it really is an inn with rooms. The rooms could probably do with a bit of an upgrade but ours was perfectly comfortable and featured the smallest but brilliantly designed loo/shower-room

As I say, some renovation would not go amiss. It would be great for the light over the sink to work as the room was a dark.
