Coralview Island Resort

We had an incredible stay at Coralview Resort in Tavewa. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—their warmth and friendliness truly stood out and made the whole experience special. The food was consistently great, including the vegetarian options. The setting itself is absolutely amazing, a perfect place to unwind and disconnect. We spent our days relaxing, playing cards, snorkeling in the crystal-clear water, and kayaking around the island. It was the perfect balance of activity and downtime. We also joined a couple of tours organized by the Coralview team, and Toki was hands down the best guide ever—knowledgeable, fun, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of the area. And a special shoutout to Livai at the bar—his cocktails were fantastic and quickly became a highlight of our evenings. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing getaway, and I’d highly recommend Coralview Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful island escape with amazing people.

The only small thing that could make the experience even better would be adding some informal outdoor seating near the common areas—just a few extra spots to gather, relax, and socialize would be a great touch.

The world class snorkeling was better than we could have ever imagined but it was the staff who made the experience truly special. They welcomed us into their family and took the best care of us. When a solo female traveler needed medical attention they took her by boat and accompanied her to get treatment. They really took care of everyone like they were family. All the free activities kept us happy and busy. The tours by the amazingly talented Toki were so much fun. He helped repair the reef from the recent cyclone while we snorkeled at the best spots. Lotte runs a great experience for everyone. My heart was restored by the kind folks at Coralview.

Nothing

Very relaxed, nice for a few nights, food was good and restaurant staff were nice and friendly. Room was good value and clean and you can watch the sunrise from bed.

3 nights was a little too long as there isn’t much to do, you can’t swim at low tide and at high tide there is no beach. Was hard to get involved in any activities as often no staff around. Rooms aren’t cleaned daily so by the 3rd day there was lots of lizard poo!

EVERYTHING! Travellers read this before you book this place to avoid disappointment. I don't know where to start but I'll make it short. We booked for 6 nights but left after 1 because my partner got sick. I would not call this a resort. The place is filthy and unhygienic. The compulsory meal plan is way over price for the food you get, seriously 110 fjd per person (70 AUD). One thing I can admit is staff were friendly. There were bed bugs in the bed and lizard poo all over the beds. Door didn't close properly huge gaps let bugs in. Mozzies were a huge issue. I'm still waiting for my refund. I've got plenty of photos, unfortunately I can upload only 4. BOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

Staff are wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. Facilities all reasonably good. Meals are exceptional, Trained chefs making it. Snorkelling very good out the front and they will take you on trips nearby too. Wish we spent all our time here. Was much better than previous place for the same price. For the price, it is incredible, even double the price would be fine. Grounds are lovely.

Beach is marginal, low tide means you can't swim much and hide tide there is very little sandy beach. However, you can arrange to go to other beaches and they are very accommodating.
