Coralview Island Resort

It really felt like home - from prior to arrival (online communication) to our stay on the island and to our departure from Tavewa. Especially the manager Nancy, incredibly knowledgeable and truly cares about guests’ wellbeing during their time in Fiji. She truly tries to help us, regardless of the matter. Every staff member is super friendly and amazing to interact with. Eva and Pau served us unique and amazing food everyday without a single repetition. Ako and Una took care of our amenities and always show up like sunshine. The boys are incredibly skilful and took us for water activities and demos. It was a bonus to have resident guardians, Lady and Skippa, at the resort, although Skippa seems to be ready for snacks all the time. Although it was quite a distance to travel to, we absolutely loved our stay at Coralview. Lovely place to be at, rest, and play. Also a perfect place to stay if you want to snorkel a bit at the Sawa-i-Lau cave. We would love to come back for another holiday! Vinaka to the crew!💛

I chose to come to Coralview because I wanted to stay somewhere affordable in the Yasawa Islands that was small, peaceful and wouldn't be overrun with tourists but where I could have great interactions with the locals. It was also important to me to stay somewhere that was owned by Fijians and not foreigners. I read reviews about several properties before booking, and Coralview was consistently rated highly for the location, staff, and food. Those reviews were right and I had a great time - even though it rained 80% of the time I was there! The staff at Coralview are just beautiful and really go out of their way to look after you. I had the most to do with Nancy, Pau and Una, all of whom were kind, caring and helpful. They clearly work very hard all day and night to ensure that their guests and the grounds are well taken care of. The location is just stunning. Tavewa is a small island so you can explore it pretty easily - even climb to the top in less than 30min. You can swim right outside the front of Coralview, but just a short (10-15min) walk away are some stunning beaches which I preferred for swimming. I didn't snorkel or use the kayaks but others did and said they saw some beautiful things just 30m or so off-shore. There are of course other trips and activities you can do from the resort (including going across to other islands) but I was truly content swimming, walking and reading this time around so I can't comment on those. I did however somehow manage to read two whole books in three days (loaned by the resort), which goes to show how relaxed I was! There is a compulsory meal plan with your stay, which I've never experienced before and didn't really like the idea of - as someone who is careful about what they eats, has a gluten intolerance and doesn't like to overspend on food. Given the situation however, I had no option other than to go with it. Thankfully, the food was great.

There is nothing major to comment on. I did think it would have been useful to have some hooks in the bure to hang towels and clothing on, and maybe a double plug so that you can charge more than one thing at a time. Note: There is no hot water, which wasn't an issue at all for me due to the weather (I wouldn't have had a hot shower anyway) but it may be an issue for some people.

Bula Bula Es ist ein wunderschöner Platz, an dem ich 7 Tage verweilen durfte. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Das Essen war ein Traum, meistens landestypische Küche. Das Personal war sehr herzlich, lustig und kompetent. Ich habe ein paar Worte Fidschi gelernt und viele Dinge über das Land erfahren. Mein Glück war, dass grade nicht viele Touristen da waren.

Die sanitären Anlage sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

La comunicación fue mala, en el anuncio no agregan los costos adicionales, tampoco son claros con los medios de transporte, me intenté comunicar con ellos para solucionar cómo podia llegar y no respondieron. Decepcionante

Exceptional location! Wonderful lovely staff! Immediately became friends with everyone! Lote was very caring! I felt welcomed from the first moment! Felt like family. The meals are really good and the portions big. Many possibilities for trips.

I am a retuning guest, the staff are local, it is Fijian owner, conservation of the reef, peaceful tranquil, own Bure with bathroom, in tropical gardens see ocean, fresh coconuts, have fridge in room, private. All staff are excellent, very willing & helpful. Lots of free activities, lots of choice with meals, can accomodate food allergies, The reef hopping was spectacular better than Barrier reef, did lots of snorkelling magnificent, giant clams and conservation 1 of reasons I come back to stay. Can relax or do lots of activities. The bathrooms being renovated to modern new in the bures which is needed, & is fab. There is a shop so you can buy goods Solar powered energy awesome, good wifi at reception I could get a late check out which was perfect ! It’s not a party island which is perfect for me. All of the staff are genuine and honest I will be returning thank you so much I had the best time

Traditional welcome & singing upon arrival was missed, Feedback : The bathrooms at reception & when dining are very old and also need to be renovated and replaced please

Das Essen, die herzlichen Menschen und Ruhe haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Hütten sind niedlich eingerichtet und man konnte gut drin schlafen.

Leider gab es kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Das Personal sehr freundlich.

Überteuerte Essenspauschale. Das Essen entspricht in keinster Weise den Erwartungen die man hat, wenn man auf so einer Insel ist. In der Anlage sollten Liegestühle sein. Der Strand ist nicht geeignet um ins Wasser zu gehen.
