Residenza Sant'Anna del Volterraio

No service. Long walk and hike up stairs to room. No food options after hours. And more like a 15 min walk to the beach (maybe 8 min from entrance, but then another 5-10 min walk to your room). Note that when you stay in the apartments, which we did, the service is and location is different. Much longer walk and no breakfast. Place is good if staying a while, you want space and a kitchen for family. But we were only there for a few days, came in late, and needed to feed the kids.

Gorgious grounds and pool. We were drove up and we're so excited until we entered the unit. It's more like camping in a cabin than a hotel. Very old everything. I'd say it's about a 1 to 2 star. The patio has a nice valley view which was great to eat meals. The nearby beach was rocky which was also a disappointment however it was very calm which was good for my toddler to play.

The location and design of the facilities are perfect. It's a beautiful resort, the restaurant is the best in that area, and the eco-friendly design is timeless. That said, the room interiors are dated, amenities are very limited, and staff are only available for limited times as well.

The garden and surroundings of this hotel are spectacular. Green mountains, olive trees, beautiful gardens, gorgeous pool. Awesome for families with spectacular baby pool and a few slides. The restaurant on site is incredible. You can easily walk 5 minutes down to little town with beach and additional restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms themselves were a bit outdated and plain. They could be easily updated to be more comfortable, but the surroundings were top notch.

This hotel was in a secluded little town surrounded by lovely greenery with a cute little beach nearby. I was floored with how expansive the property was and the infinity pool was gorgeous. The hotel side with the rooms were very clean and modern. They were not too small and I loved that the bathroom had a bath. The staff was very friendly and accomodating to our many demands. The restaurant on the grounds was cosy and quaint with delicious sea food. I recommend the fish soup and Elba Doc wine! If you do stay here though, I recommend bringing your car on to the ferry or rent a car. It is the best way to get around the island and visit the bigger towns like Portoferraio.

We got a last minute offer for around 85$ a night. It was totally worth it. Very clean. The pool is amazing. Remote place. Naima at the front desk was very helpful and speaks italian, english and french!! Only thing we did not like so much was how firm the bed was. Except that, very nice stay. 5 minute walk from beach. We recommend if you can get a good price.
