Friendly welcome. Air conditioner was on in my room on a very hot day. Wide car parks outside your room. No steps to deal with. Good security. A bucket of clean water and windscreen cleaning brush ready to use to clean your windscreen of all the damn bugs ready for you to use. Clean carpet. Comfortable beds with new memory foam mattresses. Clean sterile cutlery and crockery ready to use as well as single serve salt, pepper, tomato sauce BBQ sauce, sugar tea coffee hot chocolate and delicious biscuits. Sufficient complimentary milk in the fridge for drinks and cereal if you wish. Proper kitchenette with sink, toaster, jug microwave, & fridge. Well designed space for putting your things up off the floor and out of the way. Large bathroom with new plumbing -Rainmaker shower head as well as retractable shower head. Extra space to put your hair care products and body wash so you don't have to bend down to the floor. Complimentary bathroom products and decent toilet paper. The hotel is easy to find and in a perfect position to get out onto the road again quickly. WIFI was good.

The staff were very friendly. I had my dog with me and she was welcomed. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. I was travelling so the position of the property was ideal.

For fellow Americans: if you loved Route 66, you’ll want to try the Cunningham Thruway in QLD. When you emerge from the construction, you may want to enjoy a night in an authentic “Motel” from the 50s, lovingly restored by Les. Clean & basic, it offers a hark back to simpler times, but with Internet access. Les knows his town, & can recommend a number of options for food or entertainment. You’ll meet “real” Australians as your fellow guests. Simple albeit pricey accommodation on the edge of town; spotless & safe.

Not dislikes, just additional information: This was a tourist motel, not a glitzy high-rise: don’t expect it to be. If road noise disturbs you to the point of not sleeping, this may not be your ideal location: the highway is only a few yards away.
