Hotel Porto Roca

We didn't want to leave! After a busy first week in Italy seeing as many sights as we could, it was amazing to come to Monterosso al Mare. Our 3 night stay at the Hotel Porto Roca was relaxing and beautiful, and we wish we would have stayed a few more days. The hotel staff were the friendliest we encountered during our entire trip! Hope to be back someday!

My wife and I have stayed at Hotel Porto Roca before and found it to be the most relaxing place on earth. We recently took our family to Cinque Terre for their first time and stayed at this same hotel. They couldn't believe it when we arrived. We will never stay anywhere else.

Stunning! The location couldn’t be better. Very friendly staff. You need to be able to walk up a big hill but they also have a small shuttle. Comfy beds. Loved it!

Other than one hiccup in the beginning, we had a wonderful four day stay at Porto Roca. The hiccup was when you arrive, be sure to contact the hotel in advance and get the porter van to pick you up to take up the hill. The room was wonderful and had a very large private deck to enjoy the sun when not exploring the town in the trails. The room is very quiet. We slept very well. The location was wonderful For access to the town and to the trails. Walking between the main town and the hotel up the hill was easy and a nice stroll. We had a truly wonderful evening in the hotel restaurant with the rain outside, making it seem like we were enjoying dinner in a rainforest. The breakfast were wonderful, and there was a lot to choose from. Hotel Porto Roka very much exceeded our expectations.

A great hotel in Monterosso. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool was beautiful and a nice addition after hiking. The property is very close to the blue trail. The hotel is uphill from town but they have a shuttle to take you to/from the bottom of the hill. A must stay in Monterosso.

Simply outstanding location, facilities, and service. I stayed in Room 306. My initial impression was that the room was somewhat small, as is common in many parts of Italy. That perception quickly changed once I opened the doors to my private balcony, which was a wonderful surprise and added so much to the experience. The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff contributed greatly to the warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. Be sure to explore the grounds—there are so many hidden gems and beautiful spaces tucked away throughout Porto Roca. The shuttle was great. Shortened the distance to the nearby stores and restaurants. The only aspect that did not quite match the otherwise exceptional experience was the bedding. The sheets were a bit rough rather than silky smooth. That said, it did not interfere with my sleep, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, ensuring a very comfortable night’s rest. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Porto Roca to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful hotel! Was a very quick trip for me, but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. All the extra amenities offered by hotel were great.
