The Krabi Forest Homestay

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect. The staff was soo friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The cleanliness was excellent! our room was always spotless and very comfortable. Also the location of the hotel was perfect. Everything was nearby, including the night market, and there was a boat service right across the street, which was very convenient for visiting the beaches and islands. You can really feel that the team cares about the guests and pays attention to every detail. We are truly grateful that we chose this hotel and would highly recommend it to everyone - thank you!!!

While not actually a "homestay" the property sits at a 90º intersection of two roads, one being the main road through Ao Nang and passing in front of the beach. The path into the property run at about 45º into the forest for about 200m. Considering its location near a main road the property is remarkably quiet. The rooms are all off of this path, sometimes separated by water features. Our room was simple but more than adequate, with quiet, effective air-conditioning. The safe was small, allowing us to stow the iPad, but not a 13" laptop. It was recommended we keep our shoes indoors as the monkeys sometimes take liberties. The personnel are exceptional: friendly, communicative, knowledgeable, and ever so helpful. Breakfast was included. Both western and Thai foods are offered. The green curry was the best we had in our two weeks in Thailand and the massaman curry was among the best. I saw almost no one using the beach nearby, which confused me, until I later tried beaches elsewhere in Thailand and discovered that shallow beaches here were not at all refreshing, more like taking a warm salt water bath. There is an bank ATM very conveniently located right at the entrance.

This is not a five-star hotel. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't it. But from my perspective, I preferred it to any 5-star I've been in. I prefer nature to pampering.
